You won't care how much we know - until you know how much we care.

( Veterinary Nurse)

After finishing my GCSE’s at 16 years of age I attended Moreton Morrell college in Warwickshire where I started a one year course in animal care.

After passing the course I went on to do a National diploma in animal care to further my education.

From the age of 16 to 18 years I visited Fairfield on various occasions whilst doing work experience.

In September 1998 I was offered a job at Fairfields but was disheartened when I found out I had not got enough qualifications to start my nursing.

Terry took me on as part of his team and sent me on various courses to help me achieve these qualifications.

In September 2000 I started my Veterinary Nursing course at Moulton College, Northampton and qualified in January 2003.

Since then I have attended different courses to maintain my knowledge to up to date standards.

I recently adopted a homeless Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Zac. He was born in Dec 1999. We are currently attending training classes as he came with a fear aggression problem due to him being kept housed in a shed for 4 years and having no socialisation with other dogs. We are making good progress.

Thankfully, when he first came to us, we got him insured as just before Christmas he was diagnosed as having a ruptured cruciate, the knee ligament attaching the femur and tibia.
