I have been working in the veterinary industry since 1998.
I have gained my knowledge and valuable experience through
working at several veterinary practices and veterinary hospitals.
Having worked with both equine and large animals I have
decided that my vocation lies with small animals.
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2001 and still regularly
attend continuing educational meetings to update and improve
my knowledge.
My special interests at Fairfield are to run the obesity
clinics and to help advise on behavioural training including
the clicker method!
Outside the practice I spend a large amount of time looking
after my own pets, Emma, Fleur and Hammy. These have all
been acquired through my work at various veterinary practices.
My Golden Retriever, Emma, was brought in to be euthanased
at the age of 4years! She is currently alive and well with
me and is now in her eleventh year.
My Siamese cat, Fleur, required a considerable amount of
nursing care and treatment as a kitten but fortunately has
matured well enough at the age of 3years to be medicine
free!
"Hammy" the hamster was brought into the Fairfield
practice last year after a client found him wandering down
the busy road A47.
